The Essential Permit for Foreign Employees in Indonesia
The Working KITAS in Indonesia is a temporary work permit designed to help foreign nationals who wish to work in Indonesia. This work permit is comprehensive and allows anyone to work and earn money in Indonesia with ease.
To qualify, a person must have a valid work contract with one of the companies or organizations in Indonesia.
The validity of the Working KITAS depends on the job title of the foreign worker and the work permit application. The permit is valid for 6 to 12 months and must be approved by the Ministry of Manpower.
Approved applications grant an initial stay of up to 30 days, extendable for an additional 30 days. Before applying, ensure your country is listed as eligible for Visa on Arrival.

Who can use the Working KITAS?
The Working KITAS is suitable for many people, including:
- Those who plan to work in Indonesia.
- People who own companies registered in Indonesia.
- Those who need to perform specific professional activities.
Required Documents
From the Applicant:
- Passport: Valid for at least 6 months.
- Educational Qualification: Latest diploma or bachelor’s degree.
- Insurance: Medical or travel insurance.
- Photograph: Recent passport-sized photo with a red background.
From the Sponsor (Employer):
- TKA ONLINE Credentials: Username and password for the Ministry of Manpower’s system (if available).
- Company Documents:
- Official letterhead.
- Latest company bank statement with a minimum balance of USD 10,000.
- Notary Act of Establishment and any amendments (legalized).
- Tax Identification Number (NPWP).
- Domicile Certificate (SKTU).
- Business Registration Number (NIB).
- Business License from the OSS system.
- Staff and Directors’ Information:
- Scanned ID cards of directors, commissioners, and one local staff member.
- A photograph of the local staff member.
- Manpower Report: Online report of manpower compliance (WLKP).
