The Spouse KITAS (E31A) is a residence visa designed for foreigners who are married to Indonesian citizens and wish to live in Indonesia, whether male or female. The marriage must be legally registered in Indonesia. This visa allows the holder to stay for one year, with the possibility of renewal. After renewing the KITAS four times, it can be converted into a permanent residence permit (KITAP).
Foreigners can use this KITAS for:
- Residing in Indonesia with their Indonesian spouse.
- Traveling to and from Indonesia as many times as needed.
- Conducting tourism-related activities or visiting family and friends.
- If you’re a Spouse KITAS holder, you are eligible to work in Indonesia. However, you must first apply for a Work Permit to be employed legally.
Approved applications grant an initial stay of up to 30 days, extendable for an additional 30 days. Before applying, ensure your country is listed as eligible for Visa on Arrival.
Documents Required From Applicant:
Passport Scan
Must have at least 6 months of validity.
Formal Photograph
Passport-style photo with a plain white background.
Bank statement
A copy of the bank account with a minimum balance of USD 2,000 over the last three months.
Domicile certificate
Scan of foreigner domicile certificate (Surat Domisili)
Documents Required From Sponsor
- Copy of the sponsor’s marriage deed
- Copy of the sponsor’s Dukcapil/KUA marriage certificate (CNI letter)
- Copy of the sponsor’s KTP showing “married” status
- Copy of the sponsor’s family card showing “married” status
- Copy of the sponsor’s birth certificate
- Copy of foreign domicile certificate (KANIM process)
- Copy of sponsor domicile certificate (if KTP is from outside Bali) – KANIM process
Steps to Get Spouse KITAS (E31A)
- Prepare all required documents for the Spouse KITAS application.
- Send all documents to VisaStation.
- Our consultant will assist you throughout the process.
- Once your Spouse E-ITAS is issued, our consultant will inform you, and you’re good to go.
- After your arrival, our consultant will assist you in converting from Spouse E-VITAS to Spouse KITAS.
